Bedroom Refurbishments
Many of our regular guests have commented favourably on the changes that we have made recently; stylish new furniture in the Lounge-Bar, new fabrics & bedroom carpets throughout, the "Anne Fryers" prints in the bedrooms complementing the original artwork of her artist husband, Ian Fryers, in the bar, the new handmade pine beds & wardrobes for many bedrooms, etc.
Meanwhile, Lee (Maintenance) has been hard at work throughout the re-designing the patio-garden so that our guests can relax and enjoy this lovely, quiet, south-facing feature.
Most importantly, March 2012 marks a very special milestone! We have finally completed the refurbishment of ALL our of bedrooms! Every bedroom has now been completely remodelled and fitted with a modern en-suite bathroom, or a shower room complete with a large Milano shower enclosure and modern Travertine, marble-effect, wet wall system.
All that remains now (before we start everything again!) is the remodelling of the Lounge and Dining Room, plus the re-plastering of the corridors and staircases, during the shut-down next winter.
So, a very big thank you to all our regular guests who have kept the faith and given us their encouragement and support over the past few years.
New Website: www.seacliffehotelwhitby.co.uk
We noticed that the most popular search-term for the Seacliffe was "seacliffe hotel whitby" and, so, we decided to build a completely new website and give it the address: www.seacliffehotelwhitby.co.uk.
Don't worry, we will also be keeping this website (www.seacliffehotel.com) going too!.
"Brand-Jacking
Just a final word of warning about "Brand-Jacking" using paid adverts.
When you are searching for a business on the internet don't assume that the listing at the top of the page is, actually, the official website of the business that you are searching for.
Often a rival company, or a commission-based agency, will "buy" the top listings on a web page for its own adverts and then disguise, or present, them to look like the official site that you are looking for. Hence the term "Brand-Jacking".
During the past few months we have had lots (and I really mean lots!) of clients who have called to tell us that they wanted to stay at the Seacliffe but our website said that we were full. Actually, we weren't full ( - and they weren't looking at our website!) - it was just some of these pirate sites that were trying to re-direct our clients away to their own affiliates!
So, if you ever plan to stay at an hotel - any hotel - make sure you use their official site - and then pick up the telephone. You will always get better and more personal service doing it the old-fashioned way!
